Dr Domenic Di Rollo 
MBChB (Honours), BSc (Honours), MD, FRCSEd

Dr Domenic currently works as Consultant Emergency General and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon within the NHS. He is on the GMC Specialist Register as a fully qualified, licensed Consultant Surgeon. He was induced as fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and is an active member of the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ASGBI). He has previously worked as a cancer research fellow and lecturer at the University of Glasgow and has published a number of research papers in the fields of paediatric, general, emergency and urological surgery. In 2020 he published a 300-page thesis and was awarded a doctorate with the higher degree of MD (Medical Doctorate). His thesis comprised the findings from the cumulative work carried out during 2 years of scientific research into colorectal cancer based in Glasgow Royal Infirmary. 

 

Dr Domenic first graduated as a junior doctor from the University of Glasgow where he was awarded his primary medical degree with distinction and honours. He then went on to sit and pass his initial membership of the royal college of surgeons exams and finally after 12 more years of surgical training sat and passed his fellowship exams for The Royal College of Surgeons at the first sitting. The passing of these extensive exams combine with over 12 years of post graduate surgical training allowed him to be eligible to become a Consultant Surgeon for which he is appointed in the west of Scotland. 

 

Dr Domenic spent a period of time studying surgery at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA and has spent time sharing knowledge with, teaching, and supporting trainee surgeons in during voluntary work as a surgeon in Tanzania, Africa. Dr Domenic has undergone periods of training in a number of surgical disciplines. These include, oncoplastic breast surgery, breast cancer surgery emergency, trauma, abdominal, neck, urological, paediatric and gynaecological surgery. This has allowed him to develop a very extensive repertoire of surgical skills which can be drawn upon and used in his aesthetics practice.

 

Specifically in relation to cosmetic procedures, Dr Domenic has undergone extensive training in advanced and masterclass level facial aesthetics at centres throughout the UK and has a wealth of experience in this area. He is a member of the Aesthetic Complications Expert (ACE) Group as well as the Association of Scottish Aesthetic Practitioners (ASAP).

Dr Domenic’s has run cosmetic medical clinics for almost 10 years. This wealth of aesthetic experience combined with his NHS surgical training ensures his patients are in good hands. Yet, all that aside, his caring bedside manner and passion for making his patients feel confident and good about themselves is something we hope patients at our clinic will enjoy and remember fondly.
